Leaves and flowers keep on coming back in my botanical abstract art work.
Art Inspiration
What inspired me to create this piece is a place in Thailand called Khao Sok. A magnificant nature reserve where I felt a profound sense of calm and deep connection with the dense jungle. I was struck by the towering lime stone cliffs, the vibrant greens of the trees and the tranquil waters.
The abstract leaves provide a textured and soft but visible contrast with the deep green background.
It a celebration of the wild, but peaceful place of the rainforest. The smell of fresh rain, the sounds of a nearby waterfall, the call of a great hornbill far away.
