About “Between Stillness and Motion”

This series explores the delicate balance between quiet reflection and the movement of life. Created over the summer months, each painting is rooted in happy but fleeting moments; being with friends enjoying a glass of wine along the Amstel, the rhythm of cycling through tree-lined paths, a dip into the sea in Greece.

Through layered washes of acrylic and ink on raw cotton canvas, color and form merge like memories resurfacing. Transparent layers reveal traces of time and gesture, inviting the viewer to pause and reconnect with a sense of calm presence.

Between Stillness and Motion reflects my ongoing exploration of how movement, memory, and emotion intertwine.
